What would you choose to take?

You have two days to pack up and leave your home, a hurricane is on the way, what would you take.

That is a very good question. You have soooo much stuff that you think is really important, so now what. Do you take the family photos off the wall? How about that tomb and it's mummy that your son made in school, do you choose to grab that? How about that folder full of awards and certificates that the boys got while in school?

How do you pick which memories to save and which ones gets to be destroyed? I have thought about that since Hurricane Ike destroyed so many homes and so many memories. You never really think about the stuff you have hiding in the closest or put in the attic or stashed away in the rafters of the garage.

I know that the most important thing is to have your family moved out of harms way, but in a way these things are your family. These are what your sons made for you and what they did for themselves while in school. If I had two days I would search my attic grab a few treasures from their school days, grab the pictures off the wall, grab my albums, grab some memories to take with me. I would want to of them to survive...wouldn't you.
